A single grant can pay artists, create jobs, purchase goods and services from local businesses, bring new activity to a neighborhood and give thousands of people a reason to gather.

The initial investment does not stop with one project or one organization. It moves through the community, generating economic activity, strengthening connections and helping make Summit County a place where people want to live, work and belong.

Arts and culture are not an extra. They are essential community infrastructure.

LOCAL INVESTMENT. MEASURABLE IMPACT.

In 2023 and 2024, ArtsNow invested $1 million through grants to 94 artists, creative entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations across Summit County.

That investment resulted in:

• 948 performances, classes and workshops
• More than 72,800 people engaged
• 769 people employed or paid
• More than $281,000 in additional funding secured

These results reflect completed 2023 and 2024 grant cycles. Grants awarded in 2025 and 2026 are still underway and are not included. We are just getting started!

This is what happens when creativity is met with resources: people are paid, ideas become real, neighborhoods come alive and the original investment grows.

Investing directly in Summit County artists and creatives through professional development, artistic growth and opportunities to strengthen their creative practice.

The Creative Investment Program is presented by ArtsNow with support from the Ian Patrick Schwarber Foundation.
