Artist spotlight! Ilenia Pezzaniti (Lain) is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist in Akron, Ohio. She is the co-author of Margaret (2022) and currently teaches photography at The University of Akron.

Pezzaniti has produced short films such as #iwokeuplikethis which premiered at The Nightlight in 2016, as well as award-winning work for the former Devil Strip magazine and with Pritt Entertainment Group. Her work is influenced by her immigrant ancestry and existing between two cultures.
