The Akron Zoo will be transforming two lemur habitats into habitats that will feature New World monkeys. The project would involve designing, prepping, and painting two murals, one in each habitat, to represent the South American rainforest.

School of Rock

Porthouse Theatre is presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock–The Musical” based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.

Sip and Paint at the American Polish Club: Monet's Waterlillies

Thurs., July 31 • 6:00pm

Polish American Citzens Club of Akron, Akron

Join local artist Rae Faba for an evening of painting and beer at the (usually private) Polish American Citizens Club! Attendees will paint in the large, well-lit ballroom and the club will have the bar and kitchen open for all.
